Relationships and Temecula Wedding Venue Tour


RELATIONSHIPS are the reason I’ve lasted for 17 years in the wedding industry. They are the backbone of business and the key to success for wedding professionals. One issue I hear from wedding planners is that it’s difficult to manage their clients and businesses and still find the time to visit new venues. On the other hand, venue managers tell me that they need more qualified wedding planners to tour their properties and learn what they have to offer. My solution to both is to arrange venue tours and foster relationships. It’s a win for venues because I can bring 20 or more vetted planners to their properties and planners are able to experience the properties as a guest. After the planners have been wined and dined, they leave with the confidence to share their experience with their potential clients.

Our most recent tour was captured by Temecula’s most sought after wedding photographer Leah Marie Photography. Leah and Marcella are so talented and fun to be around. It really showed me how amazing their couples must feel. If you have a Temecula wedding, these girls need to be your photographers!


We’ve done this for venues in Los Angeles, Catalina Island and now in Temecula. To bring Orange County and Los Angeles Planners to Southern California’s wine country, I relied on the expertise of Temecula’s Michelle Garibay Events, and Just Wenderful. Michelle Garibay consulted with me on the overall event, suggesting venues who welcome relationships with planners, bringing together venue sponsors, and overseeing the coordination of the event, and our spectacular dinner at Temecula Creek Inn’s historic Stone House. Wendy Ramos of Just Wenderful worked with local vendors to design our scrumptious lunch at Callaway Winery on their outdoor patio overlooking their lush vineyard. Our day began at Temecula Creek Inn where twenty of my chosen planners embarked on their day via luxury buses and limousines provided by Viva Limousines, and sponsored by Exquisite Weddings Magazine of San Diego. Joining us for the journey was the magazine’s own Alexis Sanabria, Manager of Vendor Partnerships. Michelle provided our VIPs with a monogrammed bag bearing their name to hold all the swag they would collect along the way.

Our first stop was Avensole Winery where Wedding and Event Manager, Jessica Nielsen showed us their ceremony lawn, ballroom, and the most spacious bridal room we’ve ever seen. She concluded our visit with a very generous wine tasting. Yes, we drank wine before noon, and it was glorious!


Our next stop was Callaway Winery. Meritage is the winery’s restaurant and it’s cuisine is some of the best in the valley. Their duck confit salad is some of the best I’ve personally experienced.

Lunch was served on the Meritage patio which overlooks the lush vineyard. We were enveloped by vines overhead. The luncheon was designed by Wendy Ramos of Just Wenderful. Mixing a vintage wood table, industrial metal chairs, benches, chandeliers and sophisticated china and flat ware, complimented the patio beautifullyThe menu by the vineyard’s catering staff was perfection.


Our next stop was Fazeli Cellars. This property has to be seen to be fully appreciated. The owners are Persian and learned wine making in Spain. I’m a red wine lover and I have to admit theirs are now some of my favorites. They are so welcoming to all who visit. By the time we left, we felt like family. This winery boasts a stunning ceremony lawn, spacious bridal room, cavernous ballroom, and cuisine that rivals any five-star restaurant. They have a dish on the menu that is called popcorn puree. It’s like mashed potatoes but tastes like popcorn. It’s hard to surprise me when it comes to food, and this was a surprise I can’t stop talking about!

The absolute finest in customer service from Ken Poblano of Viva Limousine. If you are marrying in Temecula, this is your only choice for transportation.

The fabulous ladies of Sweet Oaks Ranch, Stacey and Liz were so warm and welcoming, and very generous in giving everyone a fabulous swag bag.

Michelle Garibay designed a warm and inviting table top for our dinner in the Stone House at Temecula Creek Inn. I love the modern ghost chairs with the white farm table. The teal napkins brought a pop of whimsy and color to the overall look of the room.

Our wonderfully talented planners were treated to day of pampering, wining and dining. They deserve it because they take such great care of others throughout the year.
